80 meters above sea level, you’ll find our vineyard, surrounded by the landscape that gives the vines their distinctive character.
The vines are rooted in soil from the Raet – the great moraine ridge from the Ice Age, rich in stone, gravel, and sand,
which gives the grapes both good drainage and mineral character.
Summers here in the north are characterized by long, bright days; the longest stretches over 18 hours and 25 minutes.
This generous sunlight gives the grapes time and space to ripen slowly and develop a unique depth of aroma and character.
Both Sweden and Denmark have, in just a few years, built up a growing wine industry and today produce wine of impressively high quality.
Inspired by these skilled northern winegrowers, we made an important decision in the summer of 2018: to plant our first 1,000 vines – 800 of the Solaris variety and 200 Rondo.
Of these, 400 vines were included in a rootstock trial, a project that would give us valuable experience for the future.
The following year, in the spring of 2019, the adventure continued with even more varieties: 100 Muscaris, 100 Riesling, 50 Chardonnay, and no fewer than 5,000 new Solaris plants.
ABOUT THE GRAPE VARIETIES
SOLARIS
It is a white grape variety chosen for its excellent ability to withstand our Nordic conditions. This variety is a "cool climate" grape, meaning it thrives in regions with four seasons and cold summer days. New Zealand and the Okanagan Valley in Canada are other "cool climate" regions. The variety is winter-hardy down to -16 to -22 degrees Celsius, grows and ripens around September 30th in open fields, and is well-suited for making sparkling, dry, and off-dry wines.
RONDO
It is a hardy hybrid crossed from Zarya Severa and St. Laurent, producing dark red wines. It is used in Northern Europe, and many producers use it in the production of rosé wines.
It has a flavor profile reminiscent of berry notes such as blackcurrant, cherry, and blackberry, with light hints of spice.
MUSCARIS
It is a white grape variety and a cross between Solaris and Muscat. The variety is highly resistant to fungal diseases and has a muscat aroma.
RIESLING
is one of the world’s most renowned and expressive white wine grapes, aromatic with high acidity and the ability to reflect its place of origin. It is used for dry, off-dry, and sweet white wines.
It is often referred to as a ‘terroir grape’ because it clearly reflects:

CHARDONNAY
is one of the most well-known and versatile grape varieties and thrives in most climates. It is highly valued for its adaptability and for clearly expressing both its place of origin and the winemaking process.
Is often called the winemaker’s grape, as the style is largely determined in the winery.
