Haskap
– 100% raw juice

Haskap has been cultivated in Japan for centuries, and the Ainu people refer to the berry as “the little gift at the tip of the branch”It is also known as the berry of long life and good eyesight.

In more recent times, researchers at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada have developed new varieties with improved flavor. In the spring of 2019, we planted 500 haskap bushes at Grubbestad Farm.

The berry is blue-purple, elongated, and resembles a blueberry in shape. Its flavor is a fresh blend of blueberry, raspberry, and blackcurrant. Haskap contains three times as many antioxidants as blueberries, in addition to being rich in vitamin C and anthocyanins.

With us, the berries are harvested on a fine summer day in June/July, frozen, and sent to Epleblomsten in Gvarv. There they are pressed, pasteurized, and bottled as pure 100% raw juice – with no additives.

The juice can be enjoyed on its own, used in tea, on oatmeal, or in smoothies.
